Unity of Command

Bought Unity of Command directly from us?

Between 2011 and 2014 the original Unity of Command was sold directly from this site, with downloads delivered by e-mail. That automated download form is gone, but your purchase is not: we never charge for re-downloading your game, and we will send you a fresh download link by hand.

E-mail support@unityofcommand.net from the e-mail address you used when you bought the game (or tell us what it was), and say which platform you need: Windows, Mac or Linux. We look the order up and reply with download links for the latest version of the game (1.05) and for any expansions you own. Please allow a few days.

If you bought the game on Steam, GOG, GamersGate or another store, there is nothing to request: the game and its updates are in your store library, and the DLC is sold on the same store pages.

Frequently asked questions

Which version of Unity of Command do I have, and is it the latest?
In the game, go to Main Menu → Credits; the version number is at the bottom. The latest version is 1.05 (identical to 1.04d). Steam updates the game automatically. For other stores, ask the store for the current build; if they cannot help, write to us with proof of purchase (the product key) and we will provide the download.
Where are my saved games?
Unity of Command keeps saved games in your user profile, outside the game’s installation folder, so reinstalling or upgrading the game does not touch them. Unity of Command II on Steam additionally syncs saves through Steam Cloud. If you are moving to a new computer and cannot find them, write to us and tell us your operating system.
How do I get the expansions (Red Turn, Black Turn)?
They are sold as DLC on the Steam and GamersGate pages of the game. Both require Unity of Command 1.04 or later. If you bought an expansion directly from us, the download link request above covers it.
Is there a demo?
Yes, on the Steam store page of Unity of Command (“Download Demo”). The demo downloads that used to be hosted on this site are no longer offered.
Does multiplayer still work?
Yes. Unity of Command’s multiplayer is played by turns through our server, which stays up. Start a game from the “Multiplayer” section of the main menu (version 1.04 or later). Unity of Command II multiplayer is handled through Steam.
