I'm curious: how will updates to the game be distributed?
An executable patch or will there be an autopatch feature?
Future updates: autopatch?

Re: Future updates: autopatch?
Hi Gryphonrider, welcome!
We will deliver executable patches at first but we hope to switch to automatic updates eventually.
We went through 3 upgrades like that in the beta test, without hiccups (there is no need to reenter your key at any time).

I just wonder what sort of things we might expect in a patch as the game doesn't seem to be in dire need of things being fixed

"Technical Support" is eerily empty, true. Thanks for noticing
There might be one issue uncovered on the Matrix forum that needs some attention. We're still looking into that.
There will be features and scenarios though. Unless everyone suddenly gives up on "undo", that will need to be added sooner rather than later, eh?

Re: Future updates: autopatch?
If you mean the one about the game freezing on turn submission, Kaiserbill had that happen several times during our MP testing, but it never happened to me (I'm on Win7(64bit) without UAC; he is on Vista(32bit) with UAC, if that matters). Very sorry if we didn't communicate this problem properly to you at the time.

I don't think it's the same one, this one's really weird (looking at the server logs). We're still baffled to be honest.
Re: Future updates: autopatch?
The description sounds exactly the same though. Well, good luck with it anyway
Re: Future updates: autopatch?
Problem Kaiserbill found is fixed in RC1. That one was reproducible and easy to locate.
For this one we are still looking what causes it :-/

Perhaps it's a problem with either a hardware configuration or some software perhaps ?
