Unity of Command won't be able to open the scenario files directly (double clicking the files in Finder) - you have to load them from the scenario list within the game.

@ghgregg: what do you mean by "aliased"? Like a shortcut?

Oh boy, that's gotta be a startup time record o.O I don't think anyone reported anything like this before... You could start your task manager before you start UoC, and then monitor the CPU / Memory / HDD usage while the game is trying to start up. That could at least tell us if it's really UoC hogg...
