Re: Any news on the expansion?

As far as German infantry > Russian infantry > Hungarian infantry goes, it's pretty accurate I think (in the Hungarian army stationed at Voronezh, something like half of the frontline soldiers didn't even have a firearm). Romanian units were IIRC rather hit and miss, i.e. sometimes they performed re...

Re: How about GNU/Linux version?

BTW what technology are you using for the engine? If it's Java, you will run into problems on the Mac in the future (new Macs have been sold without preinstalled Java for about a year now).

Re: Newbie totally out of his depth!

Instead of starting with the campaign, try beating scenarios one by one. If you can't succeed in a given scenario, just drop it and try another. Some are more about strategy, others are indeed more of a puzzle, so just find one that fits your gamestyle and try to win that. As for weak infantry, buy ...

Re: Can't Run Update on Mac

Re: New scenario

Ah that sounds better. Adding an undo to disband specifically is probably a good thing, sometimes a unit looks ready for a reorganize (it is supplied and hasn't moved in that turn) but still would be disbanded on click, if you don't pay attention to the icon you might throw away the steps.

Re: New scenario

1) Different game systems are different for a reason, UoC is not an RTS nor does it randomly generate a scenario every time. After the first few playthroughs, you would know where the units hiding in the fog are anyway, at which point the whole difference would be whether you keep all this informati...

Re: New scenario

3. is there any way to add fog of war? Given that units are the same every time you play the scenario, it would just add a "memory game" mini-game where you need to remember where what unit is from a previous playthrough, or simply draw the map on a piece of paper marking where each unit ...

Re: Axis Campaign

Sounds like I should leave Astrakhan last to waste the smallest amount of prestige then.
