Re: How to accept card when hand full?

Very late reply, but for anyone in future who has the same question:

AFAIK there's a hard limit on how many cards you can have in your hand, so you can't accept the new card unless you use/discard a card that's already in your hand.

Air attack 'modifiers' counter-intuitive.

When you have a B26 air strike available the display is IMO counter-intuitive. I seems to show either a nothing or 1, 2, or 3 This certainly looks to me like the expected casualties of the air-strike e.g. no steps, 1,2 or 3 steps are likely to be destroyed by the attack. But, unless I'm mistaken, it...

Eagle's Nest

Hi,

Just tried the Alpine Redoubt scenario (as part of the west_normal) and you don't seem to be able to capture the Eagle's Nest.

I know you need mountain units, but even they didn't seem to be able to move onto the hex from any adjacent hex

Thanks,
Graeme.

Re: Can't land commandos in Market Garden?

I also noticed that the same issue occurs on the Elbe scenario. I couldn't to land my commandos anywhere along the North Sea coast in that scenario either.

Re: Can't land commandos in Market Garden?

Well, landing commandos from canals is a different thing to assaulting a beach, for sure. It was a good plan, OP; but the cards do specifically say 'land from sea hexes', IIRC. The Zuidersee isn't a canal though? It's part of the North Sea. I mean the bit of sea right at the top of the Market Garde...

Re: Can't land commandos in Market Garden?

It should be deliberate. There was no naval support during MG, which made any amphibious landing impossible. They only landed three airborne divisions (and the Polish brigade) IRL, but with the right cards in UoC2 you could land six, which would also have been impossible. The fact is there's a coas...

Can't land commandos in Market Garden?

I had a cunning plan to beat the Market Garden scenario: I'd use my "commando landing" card to capture the Zuidersee objective, which is on the coast. But the game won't let me. Is this deliberate? Clearly there is a coastline in that scenario so, to my way of thinking, I should be able to...

Re: Normal vs Classic difficulty

I did exactly what you did, as I was an expert UoC veteran. Except I went straight in on Hard... I got massacred. The AI in UoC2 is much, much better than in Unity of Command, and there's a ton of new features, some of which are absolutely essential to master. And you've probably already realised th...

Re: this negative steam review of UOCII worries me: is it accurate?

"The problem is that it all feels too random when you get down to it. Whether you get any objective is often down to whether or not the RNG will come up in your favor when using air and artillery. Did you manage to suppress every enemy step? Good, you can have the objective! Did the enemy main...
