Soviet Campaign (max score)
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/371/sovietrecord.jpg General Thoughts I had a lot of fun playing the Soviet campaign. It certainly required more thought than the Axis campaign which I found fairly straightforward from a strategy point of view. As Axis the player has a huge safety margin with the s...

Re: Reinforcements? Race For Rostov.
The reinforcements that arrive on turn 3 are sent to the Stavka reserve not the force pool.

Dnepr/Donbas
Has anyone completed this mission with a BV? I'm having problems with the objectives in the center and south (north is not a problem). Below is a screenshot of my best shot at completing the scenario. The unit guarding the city in the center is very powerful: It is dug in, behind a river, has six ac...

Re: Gallop/Star BV (no prestige use)
Thanks for the input
Yeah it would be nice to be able to watch replays of scenarios from the campaign. I hope you guys can implement that in the future

Gallop/Star BV (no prestige use)
I am currently in the process of completing a BV Soviet campaign without spending prestige. The Gallop/Star scenario jumped out at me as exceptionally difficult even though it wasn’t one of the “hard” scenarios. In fact, I believe that the only reason I won this scenario was because the AI made a fe...

Design Philosophy Behind Faction Playstyles
I prematurely ended the Gallop/Star campaign scenario just now out of extreme frustration. I was very close to getting a perfect BV (without spending any prestige) but ultimately lost the scenario due to an unfortunate turn of events. What made me close the game in frustration was not my loss but th...

Re: Stalingrad
I almost got BV on my 5th turn but had to settle for getting it on my 6th. Moving up from the south is my preferred way of beating it. I leave a line of experienced infantry with AT weapons in the center and northern sectors to deal with the tank pushes. I then bring down all of my armour and motori...

Unit choice difference between factions
Hi, I just recently discovered this game and am thinking of buying it. I was looking over the unit chart in one of the blog posts and have a question: Why is there such a large difference in the number of units available to each faction? The Germans have sixteen units to choose from while the Soviet...
