Re: Possible Market Garden semi-exploit
Right, this is a real low priority issue obviously. It is likely I would have linked the bridgehead in one additional turn. So the only difference is that I probably would have lost one of the paradrop cards I used to KIA from the panzers attacking, but I still would have held all the objectives and...

Re: On the brittleness of Engineer steps
The pile of Engineer corpses grows! I set a new record for myself just now, losing to KIA *3* engineer specialists in a single turn assaulting Aachen in the "Push to the Ruhr" scenario. These guys are either very brave or very stupid, possibly both. Having to take Aachen on turn 1 doesn't ...

Re: Rush for the Apennines - ENG 3
I agree with all of that except that I think 5-8 combat crossings is extremely generous and far more than you probably need to do. I've never done one outside of that one RHIN ET DANUBE scenario where I did a grand total of 2, both on the first turn and never again, though admittedly I still haven't...

Possible Market Garden semi-exploit
I noticed this before but it actually mattered this time around on my non-historical playthrough so I thought I'd ask about it. As everyone knows you can end a scenario early if you capture all the objectives. Usually this is great since you'll just be in a mopping up phase and maybe you don't want ...

Re: Rush for the Apennines - ENG 3
Cool! You'll probably want to take a look at all the warnings about Engineering 3. I'm playing the alternate plan route now and you don't need it for a bunch of these missions you get warnings for either. Like clearing out Holland: you can just plop a pontoon down in battle prep and exploit it on tu...

Rush for the Apennines - ENG 3
First, I am really enjoying UoC2 and think its an excellent game. I'll post thoughts on it after I'm done with the alternate plan playthrough (I finished my Classic historical playthrough). I'll have many glowing things to say and the only real negative will be the lack of utilization of many of the...
