This isn't a book, but I'd strongly recommend Dan Carlin's superb "Ghosts of the Ostfront" series of podcasts from his "Hardcore History" show. They were free at one point, but can now be bought for a very minimal cost at:

Thanks. Decided to order "Stalingrad" by Antony Beevor as a start, but still looking for another great widely known and successful books which I probably missing.
