Armor shift when attacking city/river
Armor shift when attacking city/river
I noticed that in same scenario: overlord/husky, there's a armor shift when attacking city and across river, and there's none in others, which really confuses me. Is this intentional or a bug? Is this because overlord/husky are "zoom in" maps and rivers and cities are smaller?

Re: Armor shift when attacking city/river
There should never be armor shift when attacking a city.
When attacking across a river, if the defending unit has "counterattack" defensive marker, then that unit may get armor shift in counterattack.
(Somewhat confusingly, this counterattacking armor shift was reported as a + (green) shift on the combat sheet. We found and fixed that literally yesterday, now it's reported as a - (red) shift. If you switch to the "Testing Branch" on Steam, it should already be fixed there).
If you have a screenshot where it shows armor shift when attacking a city please post it here, it would clearly be a bug.
Cheers!

Re: Armor shift when attacking city/river
Thanks, found and fixed.
Turns out, armor shift was not "denied" in certain specific circumstances (when defender has zero armor and no armor specialists). It wasn't happenning so often because German units have "organic" armor so the bug is never triggered against them. Good spotting!
