Re: Eastern Front & other theatres
That's good to know! I'd imagine it's not quite as simple to port UoC1 scenarios directly to the UoC2 engine? From having to rebalance all of the scenarios, creating two new campaigns with their own 'what-if's' and actually creating the maps in the new engine instead of just using tiles, I'd imagin...

I think that would be fine to have, and have just in time for the Mac version.

Re: All about Specialist
The statistics don't tell the whole story. For instance, the Sherman DD is amphibious (sort of) whereas the plain jane version is not. So the DD version offers a certain measure of operational flexibility if water needs to be crossed. As for the Churchill, the "funnies" version had several...

Re: Normal vs Classic difficulty
Thank you, Colonel sourdust, for your illuminating discourse to get new players started. I shall be referring to it at length when I finally get the game (waiting for the Mac version).

N/C/S
I liked this scenario in its earlier incarnation, but I like it much better now with historically more accurate units. I really enjoy playing it. Kudos!

Re: Case Blue 1942 (Hitler is Dead!)
Oh, one more thing I forgot to mention: the German supply lines are absurdly long and are allowed to grow at an absurd rate. They start out 35 hexes long and can receive an additional 4 hexes per turn. I once played all the way through without adding any length to what I began with and had no proble...

Re: Case Blue 1942 (Hitler is Dead!)
Okay, to return to this topic after a two year hiatus... I have played this game over a dozen times in the last year, and have accumulated some observations about it. Obviously I like playing it, but I could like it more and I'll try to explain why. I suppose it is churlish to complain about questio...

Re: Great Game But Too Difficult..............
qwerty, are you playing campaigns or scenarios? Campaigns might be too hard for a beginner. The scenarios vary widely in their difficulty, but the ones labeled as easy generally are. For instance, "Kiev Encirclement" in Black Turn is one in which I nearly always achieve a Brilliant Victory...

Re: Scenario editor
Okay, I found the first part of my answer by consulting the FAQ. Since I am on a Mac, it told me to use Terminal to enter a command line. This I did and—voilá—there was the Scenario Editor. But the next problem was that it did not show user generated scenarios. I don't want to create a new scenario,...

Scenario editor
I don't know if this is the correct forum, but I will give it a try. Where can I find the Scenario Editor? When I open the game, the Main Menu appears, but nowhere on it can I find a link to the scenario editor. How do I get into it?
