Swamped with work so I haven't been able to do much with these, but here's a little test of the way I am thinking of going. Still working on the perspective a bit and trying to decide if I want to do rotation graphics or just keep it static.

Re: [WIP] NATO Counters
Ignoring them, but commenting anyway 8-) yes, they are too big for the hex and the flag is hard to read in both versions (at least for me). Yeah I scrapped that idea. I tried about 10 variants with the borders but due to the low resolution I have to work with none of them looked right. I'm trying a...

Re: [WIP] NATO Counters
The outer border idea is nice, though it remains to be seen in real game (after its finished state) if it does not clutter the overall appearance... And if the color vividness from my mockup would be toned down a bit to blend in more (but still retain its distinctiveness), I guess that would also b...

Re: [WIP] NATO Counters
Here is my own mockup from one of your counters. I believe you already tried such, but wanted to show my suggestion anyway ;) Yes, it may be a bit "cartoony" compared to the rest of the counters, but personally I prefer a little bit of "cartoony" anyday before "hard to disc...

Re: [WIP] NATO Counters
Might I suggest using a solid color for minor nationalities? That would make them stand out more and you could find them more easily.. That is also why 99.9% wargames use solid colors I believe ;) Great work btw! I think the best nato counter art for UOC so far! I toyed with solid color units but i...

Re: [WIP] NATO Counters
Very good job !! Thanks :D Still have some work to do on them, not sure if I like the Hungarian units the way they are after playing a few rounds. Also got rid of the circles under the units thanks to Tomislav clarifying how they work. Ill post some updates later tonight after work and maybe a test...

Re: [WIP] NATO Counters
Like them. Like the clipped corners of the counters. Anyone else remember having nail clippers used specifically to trim the corners and remove the chaff from wargame pieces? Indeed I do remember, glad someone caught onto that :D I really like the texture you put on the base unit. Since we are stee...

Re: [WIP] NATO Counters
Yeah I planned from the start for the right designation of units, but I am finishing up the German ones first before I move on to the Soviet ones. I was just messing about with some color options. I updated the German ones a bit. I'm still playing with the design, so I will post another update once ...

Re: Another NATO counter mod
Looking good, liking the way you did the other units with the dark green, might have to steal that idea

Re: [WIP] NATO Counters
Those look very good. Better than the set I was working on. I like the brown for Soviet, but only because I wanted the Guards unit to be red. Too bad they are not a separate unit types like the Axis have minor allied units. I would keep them both and hope that they give us a few different Sov...
