Only on Steam?

Unread post by von Schweinewitz »

Congratulations on the release! :D

Are there plans to sell the game on this site also, or will it be sold exclusively on Steam?

Thanks! :)

It will be Steam only in the immediate future.

They do take their cut, but it's actually a pretty good platform for updates and their refund policy is a blessing.

Cheers!

Steam might be a good platform for good reasons, and I can understand that, Tomislav.

Because of the whole DRM business games I bought on Steam never felt like I really own them. And I don't like that. So I think I will pass on this one, for now.

Won't give up hope that UoC2 will appear here some day ... ;)

I’m also not a Steam person. Disappointed that it’s the only option at this time for UoC2, but I’m gonna pass for now.

Have to agree with those who regret that Unity of Command 2 is only available via Steam. Its too invasive a platform for me. But I'll be ready to buy the limit this game is available for direct purchase. The original is, in my opinion, the best strategy game available on the Mac.
