Hi, I'm playing the game through steam and the latest update appeared to download but now the game won't start. I've followed steams troubleshooting advice but still no joy. Anyone else had this happen?

It's likely that your antivirus is silently blocking uoc.exe. We've had this happen before after updates, so a similar problem to this:

You should add an exception to your antivirus software, and then, in Steam, go to Unity of Command > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

AVG was already set up with an exception for uoc.exe, verifying the game cache did the trick though; a file was missing which needed downloading again. All up and running again so thanks Tomislav for your pointer, great game by the way.
