I tried out the gd hardware scanner , my card is a GeForce GTX 980 EVGA Superclocked ACX 2.0 4GB Edition
but the scanner is showing up as GeForce GTX 980 MSI Gaming 4GB Edition, not a big problem for me just throwing it out their
