Game crashes/freezes my computer

I've just bought Uoc, installed it through steam (twice) and tried to run it 3 times now... every time I try to start the game, my computer freezes entirely. Even the keyboard doesn't respond anymore. What the flip is this? I was looking forward to playing this game...

Hi Dystopian!

please try starting Unity of Command in safe mode:

1) go to your Steam library, right-click on Unity of Command in the game list, and then select "Properties"
2) on the first tab that opens ("General"), click on the "Set Launch Options" button
3) in the popup window, enter "safe" (without quotes), and then click on OK button to close it; close the properties window as well

Now try starting the game again and let me know if your computer still freezes.
