Thanks for your understanding. I guess I was eager to announce something after the long wait. Back to work now for me :)

I have a suspicion that that might in fact be how it works...

Tomislav, can you specify approximately how much we have to wait for the expansion? A Week, a month?

@adin: I really don't want to put another date out. But we're really close, otherwise I wouldn't mention it in the first place. So... soon ;)

@nikdav: OK, let's leak something about the scenarios right now...

Stalingrad Campaign ends in March of 1943, with Manstein's counterattack (3rd Kharkov) reaching up to about Belgorod. That's when the Kursk bulge got its final shape. This new expansion kicks off in July 1943, with Zitadelle which is a German scenario (there are only two of those, and no German campaign). We don't have any what-if scenarios for a hypothetical German victory in Zitadelle, but I'm sure with the scenario editor, the community will offer their ideas about that.

Soviet campaign starts with Rumyantsev and covers the Soviet 1943/44 campaign to liberate the Ukraine in 8 scenarios. After Rumyantsev it goes to Lower Dnieper, Kiev-Zhitomir, etc. Two large scenarios in the middle of Ukraine fighting will let you create the Korsun Pocket, Hube's Pocket and the 6th Army (again!) pocket around Nikolaev. That arm of the campaign then branches to Romania (2nd Iassy-Kishinev) and Hungary (Debrecen).

Next summer, it all starts again on June 22nd, 1944 with Bagration, then Lvov-Sandomierz... and then all the way to Berlin. Anyway, I'm not going to spill everything right now, but hopefully I shed some light on things for those of you eager to get your hands on the expansion.

Cheers! :)

Hi there - will the expansion be release for both Mac and PC?

Thanks!

Yes.

It will be in form of a DLC so it's just content, no reason not to work on either platform. You will need to update the game to 1.04 when it comes out, ideally this will be a few days before the DLC.

Oh sorry... announcement for the DLC was supposed to go out today, but Steam is now a priority: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1096

That said, DLC work is mostly done by Pieter (ComradeP, scenarios) and Nenad (graphics) so it isn't stalled. As soon as I get Steam unstuck, I will publish a (already prepaired) detailed newsletter/blog post about it. May mean a few days extra waiting :?

Any chance there will be Finnish units and scenarios included in the DLC? If not, will the Scenario Editor allow for creating new and editing existing units?

There are no scenarios involving Finnish troops in the DLC.

We are however providing a Finnish Infantry unit for use in the scenario editor for your own scenarios.
