Captured Supply Depots

Unread postby Morgynn » Sat Dec 17, 2011 12:38 am

Hi all. . . First time posting. Love the game. Although I have already read a fair bit into the game I am still definitely a Noob. I think I may be missing something, so please be patient with me.
I am at the third scenario in the Campaign and getting better at figuring it all out :).
However, I assumed that if I take over Rostov and therefore have captured its Supply Depot, I would be able to use the Suppy Depot for my own (German) troops. But not so. All of the area around it is filled with x marks.
Please tell me - what am I missing? Thank you very much.

Capturing only denies the enemy; it doesn't give you the supplies. Logically, many supply sources (in the game) aren't depots, but connections to off-map depots, so capturing them would just stop the enemy sending supplies along the train-line so you wouldn't get anything anyway.

I see. . . Thank you for the quick reply.
I assumed that when a depot was captured one's own forces could use it as a way station for their own supplies to come through. Take care, friend.
