What's in the Pipeline?

Unread postby dfarrell24 » Wed May 28, 2014 4:48 pm

Hey Folks,

I'm still enjoying UoC very much, but what's next for 2x2 Games? Somebody had to ask. ;)

From the latest blog entry:

Anyway, we are looking for a 3D environment artist, who would be comfortable working on a hybrid of a somewhat realistic environment and an information-heavy map. If you’re unsure of just what I’m talking about, look at our previous game… that, only in proper 3D, m’kay?

UoC ... in 3D?!?

We’re looking for an artist to add to our team for our secret new project. In case you’re reading this post because you want to know what that project is, you are welcome, but frankly I’m not going to spill an awful lot because it’s still, you know… secret.

This is the first paragraph of said blog post. I guess this answers my question. Any hints would be appreciated!

Three more months have passed and still no news? I do not mean to rush you guys; take all the time you need to get it right. But some general idea on what's cooking might go a long way to inspire prospective players (and buyers ;) ) to start putting a little something away in the sock drawer.

If you want to stay up on the latest, you really ought to follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/unityofcommand, Facebook https://www.facebook.com/unityofcommand, and Google Plus https://plus.google.com/103754674510680269281/posts.

Facebook and Google Plus both included a link to an interview with Tim Stone where Tomislav unveiled a little more about what comes next.

All well and good I suppose...except that I avoid all social media like a plague (which I suspect they are). I come to this forum thinking that this is where the official news would appear first.

@Happy: don't worry I'll post here as well. We need to get on with the times, so we added these social media channels, but blog and forum will continue to be updated.

Currently not much new to say though. I'm in development phase best described as "plumbing". Current morale: moderate. :D

Cheers!
