Thanks for the word, Tommy. As long as you are making progress, I'm sure we can afford to be patient. After all, what alternatives do we have?

;)

Anyway, we are looking for a 3D environment artist, who would be comfortable working on a hybrid of a somewhat realistic environment and an information-heavy map. If you’re unsure of just what I’m talking about, look at our previous game… that, only in proper 3D, m’kay?

UoC ... in 3D?!?

I really don't think going 3D with this game will help. In fact, it would be a game killer for me.

What would be very nice, would be an upgraded look to the bobble head sprites by replacing them with some sort of group of soldiers instead. Much like what is done in other games (like CEAW and CTGW)...although this game would still have a clear edge in that the units rotate to face the enemy.

A choice to use nato counters would also be nice!

I agree. I prefer to use NATO counters.

From the Best 20 War Games of all time, this statement about the next sequel from UofC:

"A sequel introducing amphibious landings and para drops is en route."

Sounds like the invasion of France!

Anyway, great job 2x2, your game is the best!

I second that! And without 3D graphics please, IMO the game really doesn't need that.

If Western Allies arrive, then I hope for Operation Unthinkable DLC

Will the AI be able to go on the offensive in the future? In most scenarios right now it is very defensive, with the exception of some custom scenarios delicately crafted to force it to attack (e.g. Zitadelle-Kutuzov).

Thanks to all for your continued interest and posts. I'm deep in low level coding, which is (presently) un-glamorous and hard going. Your feedback and coming over here really helps keep my spirit up. :)

Yes, if we can make it work.

Can we all please reserve judgement, at least until we can show the new stuff?

If it sucks, I'll be the first one to admit so.

Cheers,

Tomislav
