How about making a continuous-time version of the game: instead of turn-based IGOUGO, you'd be able to issue orders any time and simultaneously with the AI, and they'd be simultaneously executed.

Think of it as sort of Command Ops or Close Combat, but much simpler and with UoC's level of abstraction (you could even keep it hex-based).

Maybe a wild (and useless) idea, but it sure is a game I'd like to try.

Hehe, just listen to the Three Moves Ahead episode I posted a link of in another thread.
The next DLC will be Barbarossa, after that they'll make a sequel. Tomislav announces it in this podcast.
