Standalone installer and offline capability?

Unread postby Eurohawk » Sat Oct 20, 2012 6:54 am

Hello everyone … my internet occasionally goes down and when that happens, I can't access any of my games on Steam. If I buy this direct:

1) Do I get a standalone installer, just a Steam key, or both?
2) If I get a standalone installer, will I be able to play the game if my internet is down, or does it require me to be connected at all times?

It is a little cheaper on Steam right now, but I don't mind if it gives me an off-line capability.

Many thanks.

If you buy direct, you get a standalone installer, no Internet required.
You won't get a Steam-key though.

Buying direct is always best for Indie-developers.
Valve takes a percentage of profit too, you know.

Hi,

is it possible to download the standalone installer, even if I ordered the game via Steam? I installed the game via Steam but I'm not a fan of Steam. The serial number of Unity Of Command is displayed in steam, so I'd like to use with the standalone installer instead.

Steam files are 'scrambled' by default.
But maybe Tomislav can work something out.
Assuming Steam-keys have the same format/algorythm, that is.
