I've written a short blog post in which I introduce Red Turn: The Road to Berlin 1943-45. So there, it's finally happening

We will be running a beta group once again for the DLC, and we'd like to ask players who are interested and motivated to give us a hand. I believe most people involved in last year's beta will tell you that it was a lot of fun. I would like this test to be similar, only perhaps slightly shorter and more focused. The code should be solid, so the focus will be on playing the he** out of all the scenarios to get the DLC out the door quickly.

To apply for the test, simply send an email to: [email protected].

Just state your forum name (either here or on Matrix Games forums) and that you're willing to play the DLC to death, while posting about it extensively. NDA is required again, and we will take around 50 people max to keep the whole thing manageable. Please don't be mad at us if it turns out we can't take you. We expect the beta to start in early November.

In most closed beta tests with an NDA, it is mainly there to stop you telling the world how dreadful it is (either because the game is fundamentally dreadful or the game is a bit of a mess being not quite finished). I think the original game beta is long enough ago that I can say that it worked better, at the start of that beta, than most other games I've played do within a month of release

This looks fantastic! Congrats on what looks to be a fantastic addition!

I've just added "BETA TESTER CALLUP" in nice reassuring all-caps to the top of this thread, just in case someone missed it.

A good number of people have applied already, including some old hands (cheers willard!). I glanced at the applications, it looks like we're going to have a very interesting and motivated group again. So things are looking good.

It's still open though, and I'd like to invite more people to apply. Remember you don't need to be a top player, just willing to play a lot and post a lot.
