Continuity between scenarios?

After playing through the excellent campaign a few times I've started to notice that the continuity issues are probably the only ones really bothering me. For example I am now playing the 4th Cassino and I have to start taking Monte Cassino and Rome again, even though I captured them both in the previous scenario, in which they were both bonus targets. Is there any plans on addressing the continuity issues in the future?

Yes, the free update currently in the works will fix this.
