It would really save a lot of time & frustration if when clicking on HQ to see what reserves are listed - that these reserves be grayed out if they cannot actually be deployed - clicking on every HQ and every unit only to get a loud beep is really annoying

Seconded!
[edit]
I made
a video clip to demonstrate.
Aside: I wonder, is it better/ more useful to post questions and comments here on unityofcommand.net or on the Steam forums?

Hi, we are considering this suggestion, but it's not super obvious what needs to be done.
Simply disabling the menu button when you can't deploy anything isn't a solution because you still might want to take a look at what's in the force pool. Disabling individual menu items may be the way to go, but for the moment there is a technical problem that disabled UI widgets do not trigger tooltips.
tl;dr it's more complicated than it looks at first sight. It will be done but some patience is required.
Cheers!
