Unity of Command Forums

Considering that the accelerated Italian Campaign results in the Allies controlling the Po valley (and therefore all of Northern Italy) before D-Day in 1944, it strikes me as odd that going through the accelerated campaign doesn't result in a change to the Dragoon scenario. I'm thinking specifically of either the US forces or French forces starting on the map in Nice (but still executing the amphibious landing in an attempt to outflank whatever defenses may exist there).

I definitely don't think the more of the Allied Forces in Italy should be made available, since they would be needed to hold the Alpine line, but it would be nice to shake up the starting scenario for Dragoon a bit and give the player a slight leg up on advancing through Southern France.

I have plans for some additions to the alternate Italian branch. It won't have an effect on Dragoon though, as the two theaters are separate in the game files and as such it isn't possible. But it's not a bad idea otherwise!
