Unity of Command Forums

Hi. I'm reading revision 8 of the UoC II manual. There are some terms and portions of text which are unclear to me. As an example, what does "SUP" represent on page 16 under the "Experience" heading? I'm guessing it might have to do with suppression, but it isn't clear. An example of its use is "+20 xp for each KIA/SUP inflicted". Does this refer to an attack which results in a suppression of an enemy?

Similarly, on the same page, I see the Summary of Experience Effects. For Green Units, the text shows "combat shift: xp shift". What does this refer to? Was there something I missed in the previous sections of the manual which would have clarified these?
