"Taking this objective will your improve your situation"

Just for clarification ~ are these objective meant to be difficult? I can never quite seem to reach them.
Do they lead to alternative history scenarios, or do they merely give bonuses or situational advantage?

Hi, they are bonuses that give you 20 prestige and situational advantage in the next scenario.
Specifically, in Barbarossa, there is a set of bonus objectives that only give you campaign "milestones", as there are no further scenarios where the situational advantage would be given.
If the bonus objectives lead to alternative history scenarios, this is made clear on the scenario chart. There are no such objectives in Barbarossa, but we had some in both Blitzkrieg and Victory in the West. You can check the respective scenario charts for those campaigns, they are available by going to the main screen -> Open Manuals Folder.
