So - I've reworked the way the german supply is set up. The German forces in Bryansk are now totally dependant upon supplies arriving from Smolensk. This was achieved by moving the Orel Salient supply source further east so that it is now just north of Orel. This also means that if the player looses Orel then the forces attacking Kursk from the north will be cut off from supply - thus Orel is now an important city - without having to add more objectives by placing partisans.

The only drawback to this is that if the player holds Orel but looses Chotynetz then the forces north of Kursk are still in supply. However since Chotynetz is an objective no victory can be achieved if this location is lost. As such i decided that this was the least problematic solution.

All in all I like the feel of the whole thing much more this way.

Alot of other changes have also been made:

--Changes to objetive turn limits (I am unsure if setting Kursk to turn 5 is too lenient...)
--Added/changed specialists to some Soviet units and re-inforcements
--AI tweaks
--Also changed German supply in the south - breaking up the entrenched infantry should be a very dangerous undertaking now ;)

This new version is uploaded to the first post of this thread.

Any feedback or replays are most welcome!!

Well, that was hard...

Barely managed a victory and had to take 4 objectives on turn 6 since the AI retook Klen and Alexandrovka on turn 5. I've attached a replay if you're interested.

Didn't find any flaws really. The AI acted competently and attacked on all fronts for the first time but the turns are long as it is, so maybe get rid of the partisans (I might be biased since my supply got cut :))?

If you have a replay of a BV laying around I'd like to see it.

Well its your own fault for showing me the weaknesses :P. But in all seriousness - thanks for the feedback and replays. I can't stress enough how helpfull they are.

I would have been a sad cat if you'd found something glaring as I was very thorough while making this update. I have one more small update - but that doesn't need testing. It will just add one more soviet infantry corps and maybe change one of the AI hints. So the scenario is pretty much done now. Will upload the final version to the community scenarios page. In a day or two that is... Just in case someone finds something that we've missed.

As for the last replay you shared: Was very very very pleasing to see the AI do so well (sorry :P). A few pointers would be: 1. Use ZOCs to their maximum effect while defending. 2. Take care not to loose infantry north and south of the Kursk bulge - but take even more care to not loose armour by Klen and Chotynetz. 3. Relocate a lot fewer of the specialists. 4. Use the Hungarian infantry to chase partisans in the north as fast as possible (send two of them).

I'll pm you a BV and the last version when its ready - its strictly against my own made up rules to share my own BVs of my own scenarios :D. But since its my own made up rule I've now decided that exceptions can be made for helpfull testers :).

Cheers!

Gave it another go...

Tried for a BV this time and got it on turn 4 (I might have reloaded turn 3 a few times cause the AI really wanted Ponyri back).

I'm still interested in seeing how you play it though.
