The Southern supply source that's on the railroad but it isn't: oversight or sadistic game design? ;)

The southern supply source is intentionally not connected to the railway at Kursk. This territory has only recently been liberated in the Voronezh-Kastornoye operation (one of the "Don Offensives") and the supply system is not up to scratch.

I don't think it should confuse anybody given the supply view that we have. The arrangement with the rail going beyond the map edge is still kind of bizzare, I agree. Can't remember why it was done that way... :?

The only way I could earn a BV was to use ComradeP's technique of using the partisans 2 hexes to the S of the main railway and then capture the Axis supply depot. (Thanks for the tip, incidentally, ComradeP! :D )

I've got to say, I'm rather impressed with the way he's willing to let the AI capture his supply dump to get out of the mess that's otherwise created around Orel, and he still manages to leave none of his units OoS for more than one turn.

Only managed a BV by rushing for the Axis supply depot, too. Lost less units, I think, though I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to attacking against rather bad odds.
