Army Group SouthAnother "perfect 1st turn" scenario where everything must go right. Of course there can be some changes in the distribution of armor in this scenario, however the player has to be very lucky in capturing Lvov in time without the extra help. Two things absolutely must happen in order to win this one on time. You must have a zone of control captured adjacent to Lvov, and you must have your armor advance to Lutsk just west of Rovno by the end of turn 1.
-I began by attacking towards Lvov using my infantry and 13th panzer division, I have been successful without the armor in this scenario before but it makes things extremely difficult without it, I prefer to use my 1st Gebirg unit to attack the city as it can usually place a good attack without taking any casualities
-For the advance east I crossed the bridge adjacent to my 299th infantry division, using infantry to destroy the enemy I crossed the river assuming zones of control and then advanced the 299th as far as they could go enabling them to assist in the attack on turn 2
-Next I sent the 14th and 11th panzer divisions as far as I could east while keeping them in supply
-I attacked across the bridge in the very northwest and then advanced the 16th panzer
End of 1st turn in the northwest:
-In the south I attacked across the river with my Pionere supported infantry promptly crossing the river and building a bridge
-I then began moving my German infantry towards the bridge to cross on the following turns, I also attacked using a few of my stronger units to weaken enemy units in the area
End of 1st turn in the southeast:
Another make or break moment in this scenario is the successful capture of Rovno.
-1st I bombed the 131 MRD with an air attack causing two steps worth of casualties, I then attacked with the 299th ID causing the 131 MRD to retreat thus clearing the route to Rovno
-Attacking Rovno with the 14th panzer I was able to make the enemy unit retreat, after that the 11th panzer moved in and took the objective, IMO the hardest parts of this scenario were now over
-Finishing up in the northwest I cleared my supply line leading to Rovno, moved the 16th panzer up to the front with my other armor, and took Lvov clearing and destroying units in the area
End of 2nd turn in northwest:
-In the southeast I moved my Pionere Infantry unit to the river across from Mogilev, In the following turns my plan was to weaken the enemy units around Mogilev while keeping my units in supply
End of 2nd turn in the southeast:
-Over the next two turns I cleaned up and was able to overrun many units on my way to the objectives, I did have to redirect units to Tarnopol in order to capture the objective on time, Zhitomir would easily be taken on turn 5 and in the southeast my pioneer unit crossed the river ready to take Mogilev
End of 4th turn:
