Unity of Command Forums

Hi,
Good read.
I am actually trying to move some campaign save files from my work laptop to my home laptop.
Was playing whilst travelling but now need to not have the distraction !!

So can anyone help me with what I need to do?

Our FAQ page is down at the moment, so I'll just copy/paste from google's cache

Q: Where are my saved games located?
A1: The following are the default locations.

WINDOWS Vista / 7 / 8:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Unity of Command\save\

WINDOWS XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Unity of Command\save\

MAC:
~/Library/Application Support/Unity of Command/save

LINUX:
~/.uoc/save

A2: [WINDOWS] If the above answer didn't work for you, try opening %appdata%\Unity of Command\save\ - you can copy/paste this location into the Windows Explorer address bar, or go to the Start menu, click on "Run", and paste it there. Press enter key to open the location.

A3: Click on "Load Game" on the game main menu, and then, on the next screen, click on "Open Saved Games Folder".

And there, within the "save" folder on your computer resides a "campaign" folder - that's what you need to copy from one computer to another.

1. find "save" folder on work laptop
2. find "save" folder on home laptop
3. copy "campaign" folder from work computer to home laptop
4. continue your campaign at home!

Thanks for the info...but it tells me error could not load campaign.
When I choose load game - there are no games
If I then open game save folder - I can see the save folder, with the campaign folder and the files.
I did notice that there is a config.json file in the %appdata%\Unity of Command directory.
Even though it has been downloaded through steam on both devices - they have different serial numbers.
Would this have an impact?

@mariom1au: different serial numbers don't matter, that's OK.

Is this is a DLC campaign that you've copied to your home computer? If so, you'll need to have the DLC installed on that machine too.

Hi aesqe,
yes it is the DLC campaign - off steam Black Turn.
According to the steam store it is in my library it also shows up as in the list of campaigns to select.
I didn't copy form one to the other both were downloaded via steam.
They should be identical as far as I can tell.
Really appreciate the assistance here.
