Consider the merge third-ed. I think we're all itching to attempt to hoist Danielfc by their own, brilliant petard.

I've talked to Tomislav and we're very open to merging the two tournaments to run through Steam.

The 2x2 guys are also continuing to work on the new code generations system that Tomislav mentioned which should prevent people playing the first turn over and over. We'll keep you updated on its progress.

So, are you guys open to moving the tournament to Steam and self-organizing?

Sorry, we had a technical thing to work out.

Y'all are of course free to self-organize and run things through Steam while you wait.

"What technical thing," you ask?

The 2x2 team is working on a new match generation system that will prevent save scumming and make weather consistent for all players. We're running a test first - post here to help us out. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=4022

Thanks.

OK, I've been informed the new multiplayer system is ready to roll out.

We'd like you guys to self-organize over in the Steam forums http://steamcommunity.com/app/218090/di ... 340074/#p1
I am there as MT_Richardson to assist, but I'm not there to tell you guys how to play or run the whole thing.

Here's how the new multiplayer system works:
0) All players must have a UoC forums account to play.
1) Once we've settled who is playing whom and on what map for that round, I will go into our MP server and generate a master code.
2) Every pair of players will receive automated emails with the game code.
3) Go into UoC and Connect to Game using the provided code as either P1 or P2. The Player assignment will be in the email you receive.
4) Player 1, play your turn, then send it over to P2!
5) Post results and screenshots over in the Steam thread.

Does anyone have any questions?
I hope this is helpful.

We have a dozen players in the Steam thread. This is the last call for volunteers - if you want to participate, get thee over to Steam and post your forums username.
Codes will be sent out and play will start this weekend.

Cheers, good luck, and have fun!

Game keys have been sent out.
I don't have forum usernames for everyone who expressed interest on Steam, but at least we got started with the seven on hand.
Did you post on Steam but not post your forum username? Hurry up, you have until Sunday!

If we get any last minute players, I will add them and rearrange the brackets as necessary.

Cheers!
