Just purchased PC version game from Steam.
When game is installed Norton says following file (uoc.exe) has found and removed
"suspicious.cloud.7.F"
"Heuristic virus"
Is it safe to recover file from Norton guaranteed files?

Re: Norton alert on uoc.exe file
Hi,
yes you can go ahead, the file should be safe - there are no viruses.
I submitted a false positive report to Norton. We've had false positives before, it should work out shortly.
On the other hand, if anyone's reading this and you're still getting the report please post in this thread again.
Thanks!

I also had a virus warning. Form AVG anti virus.

Re: Norton alert on uoc.exe file
Is this the Steam version again? Because I just ran it through virus total and it reports no detection.
Can you confirm that when you update your antivirus, it still reports it as a threat?
thx!

Alright, I made another false positive report to AVG. We'll see if it works out...
Re: Norton alert on uoc.exe file
Looks like Norton is giving false positives on UoC.exe file again.

Re: Norton alert on uoc.exe file
This is a wider issue. Just had the same problem with AVG and Crusader Kings II, again from Steam. Suggest when you flag AVG and Norton that you mention the Steam commonality. Seems to be invariably the steam execution file that is being flagged
Re: Norton alert on uoc.exe file
I just downloaded it from Steam and I am also having this problem with Norton. It is deleting uoc.exe because of the "high risk" threat of Suspicious.Cloud.7.F

Re: Norton alert on uoc.exe file
I have run both DRM-free and Steam versions of the game through VirusTotal and it reports no detections.
Perhaps they did sort it out over the weekend, who knows...
If the issue continues to happen, please report again in this thread. Thanks!
