Hi, I just checked, and cavalry movement is unfortunately not moddable (i.e. it's hardcoded).
Normally we try to expose as much of the game for modding, but in this case, it was hardcoded, probably due to time pressures during development.

Hi, this is already on the to-do list however, it's not easy to do because of some technical reasons.
