Re: Black Turn, serious business.

Thanks for the feedback! All scenarios were tweaked as to be BV-winnable without additional units or (specialist) steps, and without reorganizing units (which gives the player an advantage, if used well). The strength of the AI, its flexibility and adaptability, is also its weakness in some scenario...

Re: Black Turn, serious business.

How hard Taifun is often depends on when the weather turns ugly. If the mud appears fairly late, it gives you a lot more time to get going initially. If you get mud early on it's much more likely the advance will be slow.

Re: Why charging 20% more for european version?

Hmm, I'll ask Tomislav, as charging more for one version is a very bad practice that we certainly don't support.

I'm not sure if we set the final price or the company that handles the transaction. I expect it's the latter.

Re: [RT] Winter Solstice

Very entertaining scenario. I won with backhand blows after retreating in the first turn and recycling specialists/unit steps of many of the 3 step units, sort of a cheap victory, destroying Soviet mobile units at a rate of 1-2 per turn, but capturing Bromberg was a close call on turn 7. The Soviet ...

Re: Velikiye Luki

I'd suggest using the December OOB on the website dunbarrover linked to (just change the final date to 19421201)as a base (not the November one), as it's missing numerous reinforcements to 3rd Shock Army that arrived before the battle began or shortly afterwards. You can also compare it with the Jan...

Re: Velikiye Luki

There's a Battles in Italy Velikiye Luki scenario, I could give you those starting positions, but it seems that the scale might be problematic (it would cover only a couple of hexes in-game I think). Positions: German: 83 ID 1 hex east of Velikiye Luki. 3 Gebirgs 1 hex east of Velikiye Luki, south o...

Re: [SC] 1st Kharkov (oct. 1941)

Interesting scenario. There's currently too much mud for me to get to Izyum, particularly as you need to pull back the units in the east for them to be in supply. The Soviets are also overstrength, as by UoC's scale 7 steps is a full strength Rifle corps. A full strength Rifle division would be, on ...

Re: Specialist Steps

I guess the first issue comes from rounding somewhere, just like some games insist on 76mm instead of 76.2mm. 122mm is, of course, correct. We don't have a Soviet sapper step or German artillery step because the Soviets break entrenchment through their artillery shift and the Germans through enginee...

Re: Excellent Game

Thanks for the compliments!

For the moment, it's all quiet on the Western Front, but there is always the chance we'll move to the Western Front after we're happy with the way UoC handles the Eastern Front.

Re: Manual Addendum and Editor Manual

Tomislav is on a short vacation at the moment, so I guess I'll have the answer on Monday.
