Re: Will it run on a netbook?
It takes a bit longer only when your first start the game after a reboot. Disk access is not that snappy on these little netbooks apparently. Once windows have everything cached scenarios start normally, i.e. much faster.

Re: Dnepr/Donbas
I know I shouldn't be dropping hints, but getting max score here is tough here so... note that mud is your friend here. If you cut the railway into Dnepropetrovsk by about turn 5, surrounding mud should prevent that city from being supplied from the west - you don't need to cut it off completely.

Re: Is it possible?
Hi... thanks for the kudos
Yes, it's possible for both campaigns, although no such feat been reported here yet.

Re: Will it run on a netbook?
Hi guys, welcome to the forums!
I was going to say... I've been running the game recently on a 1GB Acer Aspire One with a 1.6GHz Atom CPU. Not totally smooth but no problems with it either.
But the issue seems settled already

Re: Gallop/Star BV (no prestige use)
Very nice AAR, thx! AI behavior seems problematic, we'll take a look. We found that there are two basic ways in which you can use partisans effectively: 1. Encirclement, i.e. cutting supply (you can even cut railorads by "sweeping" the front line, but you need 4 hits in the general case) 2...

Re: Design Philosophy Behind Faction Playstyles
@easyBreeze: I agree that the Soviets have a less balanced set of options to play with. However, we have a historical mandate here rather than that of perfectly balanced factions. In that sense, going on the offensive with the early-1943 Soviet army should feel frustrating. For example, operation Ga...

Re: A thing of beauty
You're right about the emphasis. When unsure about these things, I always try to err on the side of putting more emphasis (making things more "black and white" if you will). Armored units and mud effects are in fact both good examples of this.

With BMT, orders sometimes get queued for "manual verification". You should receive your link shortly.
Give me a ring at support at unityofcommand.net if there continues to be a problem, but this is pretty usual.
Cheers

Re: Christmas sale? :p
Hi guys, we are not planning a Holiday sale this year - not fair to people who already bought the game if we went on sale this close to release. Also, at $30 this game is already at a discount to other wargames which are typically in the $40-$50 range. However, since it is the holiday season , I've ...

Re: A thing of beauty
Thanks mate! I hope you guys are not giving up on Iron Cross , I'd love to see that game released :) We will be releasing the scenario editor eventually but there's a lot of work still left just to make it "internally usable". For example, the current scenarios were more than 50% done by m...
