Re: Some New NATO Counters

Anyway as cute as the bobble heads are and they are I thought I would whip me up some NATO counters for it.

I apploud the effort, but I have little love for NATO counters as I know them to the death from Hearts of Iron III. I'd like to point out better counters: like these.

I misunderstood the meaning of your first post then... Still, back to the point - I think that allied forces are represented well enough: the 6th German Army at Stalingrad was encircled because Romanians have failed to keep the flanks secure and given that even the Germans had problems to withstand ...

Re: Does this game have CORE units like in Panzer General?

That's too bad, kinda kills the replay value. Not really. Outcomes of combat can vary a bit from estimates and weather can be different. Small things like this can entirely change the outcome. I've played quite a few scenarios and I find replayability to be much greater than one could expect, given...

Re: Brilliant Game - Thankyou...

I searched for the last week for something to play in the lines of turn-based strategy, and finally, last night, I discover UOC on metacritic, have a look some youtube footage, and within 5 seconds I knew I would buy this and love it. I too saw this on metacritic, but only Steam sales encouraged me...

On that note, how do you judge the relative strength of the Soviet versus the Romanian and Hungarian units? Manual is very useful here. Each unit has its own attack value (lighting), defense (shield) and movement (arrow). To correctly judge unit's values you need to multiplay its attack/defense by ...
