Re: Future updates: autopatch?

Hi Gryphonrider, welcome!

We will deliver executable patches at first but we hope to switch to automatic updates eventually.

We went through 3 upgrades like that in the beta test, without hiccups (there is no need to reenter your key at any time).

Re: Looking for more information

Hi ZigZag, we're working on transfering some of the AARs (After Action Reports) and possibly other stuff created by testers from the private forum to public. These should be up shortly. If there are testers reading, you are welcome to select some of your posts and re-post them as public yourselves. ...

Re: Crimea

Yes, first scenarios in both campaign are in fact rated "hard" and there's little I can do about it because it's a historical fact as you mentioned. In the "2nd Kharkov" campaign scenario we tried to smooth things for new players by giving them some starting prestige and an extra...

Re: Crimea

Hi Antares, nice to see a new member join :) the western fort can be pounded into submission fairly easily. Unfortunately due to scale of units and map, UoC cannot simulate the actual battle for Sevastopol: heavy bombardment, storming of the forts etc. I opted to make this easy then, because it is t...

Re: No move take back & no saves?

I believe that is probably the best way to play this game in fact. Play a few scenarios first: tutorial, introductory, one or two from the "easy" group. Then jump into the campaign and just keep reloading when you get stuck... either because you need a DV/BV or simply to accumulate more pr...

Re: No move take back & no saves?

You can restart the campaign from the beginning of any scenario, look for the black button with an undo-like arrow symbol on it (lower right part of the campaign map). This is so you don't have to play the campaign all over again every time you feel you could do better in one of the scenarios. Other...

The Post-release Thread

Hi all!

If anyone is up for some post-release chat, do hop in.

My favorite thing about the release so far? The "Technical Support" forum is empty...

...and no it's not for lack of sales! Thanks to everyone who bought the game today, I hope you're enjoying yourselves. :)

Re: Crimea Questions

1. How is it even remotely possible to take Kerch in 2 turns? a. Has anyone actually achieved this in the released version of the game? Yes and yes :-) There is an extensive thread on this in the private forum, maybe we should copy some of the tips from there. Pelin? 2. There appears to be no diffi...

Re: The Pre-release Thread

Thanks for that first impression... it's kind of like the first day of testing all over again, only with slightly less bugs :-) I must admit I'm at the end of my tether now... will probably crash. It's been a long two days in the end, although it looked like it would be rather relaxed initially. Any...

Re: The Pre-release Thread

These downloads are now from Plimus, they're not from our site anymore.

I did test the whole setup this morning though, and the download was fast. So I'm slightly surprised at this. If anyone is experiencing similar problems please report.

And yeah, I'm back :D
