Re: Orel/Briansk--Help!

The veteran infantry on the railroad from Orel is less of a problem if you increase supply from the south. In my experience the AI group around Orel so a single infantry or tank from the north should be able to go wide and get somewhere west of Orel on turn 2. There's usually a gap in the AI lines i...

Re: Orel/Briansk--Help!

Here's a BV soviet campaign I have saved. I don't follow my own advice in the replay but maybe increasing supply range in the south is easier after all.

Re: Orel/Briansk--Help!

If you're at a level where you're trying to get BVs on scenarios I suggest you do the old school thing and read the manual. It's 21 pages and really good... One thing that you, or someone reading this, might not know is that units that have two or less active steps or have retreated this turn are we...

Re: Orel/Briansk--Help!

I take it you've haven't tried for a BT BV campaign yet? Those first three scenarios are just ridiculous... :) Anyway, you're not supposed to cut the railway line because as you noted, the AI will restore supply. Just put three partisans between the river tile next to the Hungarian infantry and the ...

Re: Orel/Briansk--Help!

I push west, while keeping units supplied. See to that your tanks are supplied on turn 4 and then get as close to Novgorod as possible on turn 5 without worrying about supply, preferably west of the river. Use 3 partisans to cut off Novgorod by turn 2, that helps a lot. Don't be afraid to waste some...

Sorry I should have been more clear. The button is there and I can press it, but the number of up-votes remain the same afterwards.

Re: schwerpunkt for Tyhphoon

My main attack in the north was through Vyazma-Mozhaysk-Moscow, with only a few units sent north to help clear Rzhev and then Kalinin. But otherwise we seem to have done the same, ignored Briansk and Kaluga and advanced Kursk-Orel-Tula in the south.

To be more precise, I use SRWare iron. Oh well, I guess the creators will have to do without my praise :) .

Re: Kursk-Orel singleplayer beta - UPDATED 3/2

Gave it another go...

Tried for a BV this time and got it on turn 4 (I might have reloaded turn 3 a few times cause the AI really wanted Ponyri back).

I'm still interested in seeing how you play it though.
