Unity of Command and The Great War

Hi guys, it's Matt, longtime fan of the series and social media manager for Unity of Command. I posed a little question on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/unityofcommand that I've wondered about since I started playing Unity of Command a few years ago. And it's just past the 100th anniver...

Re: Reviews and other links about Unity of Command

Hey guys, I don't think I see my review of Red Turn up there in the list. http://www.armchairgeneral.com/unity-of-command-red-turn-pc-game-report.htm I'd appreciate any feedback from the community - you can email me, tweet me, or comment on my blog through the links in my author bio. Cheers!

Re: [RT] To the Gates of Leningrad

This is an ambitious, but solid scenario. Bravo! Two suggestions - - Drop the number of partisan attacks to two or three per turn - four makes it too easy for partisans to cut supply in places I thought were secure. This may be historical, but it's frustrating from a gameplay perspective, as I somet...

Re: [RT] Spring Awakening

Hey winning in the first playtrough is really very well done :). The supply depot east of Budapest exists for two reasons: 1. Historically these units where not in any danger of loosing their supply had the Germans reached the Donau (due to the situation further north (offmap)). 2. Balance - If thes...

Feature Request - Enemy Supply Ranges

One thing for my wishlist - when I hold down "s" to view the supply overlay, I wish I could see numbers indicating the enemy's supply paths, too. This would make it easier to determine whether a breakthrough will serve to cut off supply to a certain set of units. Sometimes I've found mysel...

Re: [RT] Winter Storm

Hey Matt, 1) any special reason to make it a RT scenario as opposed to SC? The balancing of units is different, though I admit with the unit types actually involved, the difference is not all that big. 2) why not include operation "Little Saturn" in some way as well? I've always thought o...

Re: [RT] Spring Awakening

I just barely scraped a victory on my first playthrough. That elite Guards armored corps is a beast and a half and there's nothing in the Axis arsenal that can take it on. Why does Budapest have its own supply stockpile to the Northwest? I somehow missed it until I had encircled it and cut off all t...

[RT] Winter Storm

Here is my humble start at creating a scenario for the December '42 operation to relieve Stalingrad. The balancing isn't where I want it yet, so please give me feedback on the following issues: 1) The scenario should be a struggle for the Germans (after all, they did fail to relieve the pocket), but...

Re: Red Turn DLC - BETA TESTER CALLUP

There will be a closed forum and all discussion should be done there. Then, a few days prior to release, we will waive the NDA so people from the test group can post their screenshots, AARs etc. on the net. That's how we did it the last time around, I see no reason to change it now. Does that work ...

Re: Red Turn DLC - BETA TESTER CALLUP

Hi guys - I'd like some clarification regarding the Beta Test NDA. I've never done a closed Beta before, so I don't have a feel for how to interpret the legalese. For example, what am I allowed and not allowed to discuss, say, on my blog? Would I be allowed to show screenshots I've taken of the new ...
