Re: Degrees of Success

disconnecting "victory points" from "resources" is important. This is what we're doing in the UoC2 campaign. The design has been written up, though the implementation is still a bit fluid at this time. ;) I will post about it on the Blog when the time comes, just wanted to say t...

Re: Map editor

Full set of map tools will be available with the new game. We ditched the Bezier curves though, because simple polylines turned out to work just as well. Here's a map editor screenshot.

Cheers! ;)

Re: UOCPatch

It's a super small team, and we're genuinely too busy to do anything but UoC2.

Re: UOCPatch

Yeah let's not go there (bans, controversy etc), this has always been a super nice community, and this is rare in gaming.

Re: UOCPatch

I'm sorry you feel you've wasted your time, but you could have asked in advance. I would've said "no" in 2016 just the same ;) At any rate, I really do respect your technical achievement. Note that you can still do "binary" mods, as I posted earlier in this thread (if you can fig...

Re: UOCPatch

You're right, I haven't looked carefully.

Re: UOCPatch

Hi Panno, I have to ask you to take down this "uoc-patch" github repo. The repo contains our source code, which is copyrighted, and which we do not allow to be published . Please take the repo down ASAP. If you don't I will have to talk to github directly, which I prefer not to but I will ...

Re: Map editor

It's not only that the editor isn't user friendly, it also only works on Linux. Installation is a nightmare, for example it requires re-compiling GIMP with some special patches (among other things, there's much more). So, I don't think UoC1 map editor will happen. UoC2 will come with a fully feature...
