Re: [WIP] NATO Counters

Nice direction! The best I have seen so far for sure :) I would say do without the rotations... Or, if you can, you could animate a small arrow around the counter to show direction of attack etc. That way you can preserve a clean look without having to rotate a pseudo-3D counter and still show the r...

Re: [WIP] NATO Counters

Ignoring them, but commenting anyway 8-)

Re: [WIP] NATO Counters

The outer border idea is nice, though it remains to be seen in real game (after its finished state) if it does not clutter the overall appearance... And if the color vividness from my mockup would be toned down a bit to blend in more (but still retain its distinctiveness), I guess that would also be...

Re: [WIP] NATO Counters

Here is my own mockup from one of your counters. I believe you already tried such, but wanted to show my suggestion anyway ;) Yes, it may be a bit "cartoony" compared to the rest of the counters, but personally I prefer a little bit of "cartoony" anyday before "hard to disce...

Re: [WIP] NATO Counters

How about that yellow found in here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Romania

And maybe take it further with dark-blue Nato symbol on yellow field.

Re: [WIP] NATO Counters

Might I suggest using a solid color for minor nationalities?
That would make them stand out more and you could find them more easily...

That is also why 99.9% wargames use solid colors I believe ;)

Great work btw! I think the best nato counter art for UOC so far!

Re: Can you mod the shipped with campaign ?

As far as I can see the campaigns in the original game (do not have RT) are just a linked series of the existing missions, so you would have to edit the base missions themselves, or create renamed copies and edit the scenario files to replace the old with the new names...
