1) Take a stop by da Wiki: http://unityofcommand.net/wiki/Specialists 2) On the final attack for objective, don't be afraid to disband units to make room for the next unit to move up and attack. Then disband that unit, etc. This is especially usefull for final objectives. There's no points awarded ...

There was a fair amount of maneuvering in Rumania, Russia, and Northern Italy during the mid-to-late years. And of course as you note, the war on the Western Front opened up during the last year of the war. And the possibility existed that it might have done so sooner if the commanding generals had...

Another possibility would be one or two scenarios based on the Soviet Invasion of Manchuria (arguably there wasn't much fighting, but it could have a few powerful and experienced Soviet units against a larger number of weaker Japanese units, dug in but with low morale. The former would be at the end...

Cavalry units become much better when they have a T-34 specialist step attached, though you might want to save the step for a tank corps. One thing I found useful (in Red turn) was re-organising tank corps as the Soviets when they were available, generally on bigger map.s However it is on those maps...

Taking Daugavpils and and the Gulf of Riga by their turn limits is fine, but does anyone have any tips on taking Kaunus? Each step represent IIRC around 1/7 of each unit, but it is quite abstracted, creating casualty counts could be a bit difficult.
