Concerning the random element of combat, i.e. combat losses. On page 22 of the manual it mentions that losses are slightly randomised - does this mean a +1 or -1 shift on the Combat Results Table? Or can the shift be greater?

Is there a random element used on the Retreat Table?

Have a look at pages 20 - 25 of the manual; it details how the combat odds are calculated. There doesn't appear to be any bias for one side or the other in either campaigns or scenarios. There is a small randomisation (towards bottom of page 22) but that will work both ways.

UPDATE: obviously we're not releasing anything today so I made myself look slightly foolish. :oops: That said, we are kinda close - I released an internal build last Friday that contains all units, all scenarios and all new mechanics. I'm not putting forward any more dates though :roll:
