Hate to necro but I have never won a BV (or even a win) with anything other than a Rostov first strategy. If I go for Rostov, I can usually win on T6. This is basically because possession of Rostov, the bridge to the east and some sort of chain back to the Mius bridge shuts down any threat from the ...

One Axis minor unit I really appreciate is the plucky Hungarian Panzer in the Voronezh scenario. Obviously it's not nearly as powerful as the German units to the north but it has been responsible for a BV many times, whether by wiping out Soviet stragglers who would have cut my supply lines, closing...

Nice.

Were those the official Russian 'code' names of the operations? It seems moronic to name a military operation after the axis of attack :-) We called it Overlord rather than 'Operation Normandy' for a reason.

Thanks to Spillblood for what was more of a challenge than the results suggest. I'd never tried MP before this.

I'm going to be out of the frame for about 9 days to a fortnight, perhaps more. Any news from the other semifinal round?
