Questions about your development.

I'm interested in finding out more about how you went about creating UoC.

Some questions:
Were you self-funded?
Was this your full-time job or did you have day jobs while developing this?
Did you prototype the game before going into development?
What are the chances of seeing UoC on Steam? (you guys deserve a big audience!)
If you could do it all again, is there anything you'd do differently?

Can't wait to hear about what you have planned for the future of this product. It's an awesome 'little' game. I love it!

Thanks,
Gio

Hey, it's like a mini-interview :)

Nenad and I were on this full-time while it was being developed intensely (~2 years), but right now I'm the only one who is full-time. Other team members come in as needed, sort of (ante for AI, aesqe for sound). We're self-funded, yeah... do you know any publishers who would front money for a game like this one? :)

There's some interviews in our "Reviews" post above, so please check them out re: development etc. We'll try to get on Steam but being accepted there is never a sure thing (for indies). If not them, then maybe someone else, say GOG. We'll see...

Good Old Games (GOG) would be a good alternative to Steam imho.

GOG announced that they're planning to release more new games besides all-time classics.
Two examples of new games already for sale: The Witcher 2 - Assassins of Kings and King's Bounty: The Legend.

I hope that was a joke question. A hundred million what, sales? Revenue? The first would be unthinkable for even a CoD title. The second is highly unusual for an indie. that would be around 3 million + units (depending on a number of variables).

From our perspective, it's instantly clear that it's a joke ;)

:) But I hope you're doing well enough to continue development.

Would you be interested in making an ipad version? I'm an investor in a mobile developer/publisher I could introduce you to. It could be intersting on iOS and Android.

I'd love to see UoC on a Tablet. Anybody else, or am I the only one...
