Unit Defense - how it is done?

Hello Tomas,

i would like to know how the units defense response is triggered when they are attacked?
It is understood how the attacking odds are calculated but it is not clear to me how the attacked units will respond!
If the attack clearly beneficts the attacker with for example an overrun then , probably, the attacked unit cannot respond, but in all other cases it should.

Many times I see a perfectly "healthy" units that after being attcked still remain with some "punch" (i.e. strengh dots, two or three) and has no response whatsoever to the attcaking unit. I think it should at least make some damages to the attacker, considering of course both strenghs (perhaps considering the inital and final attack values?).

Can you please clarify the subject ?

Many thanks and best regards,
Carlos

The attacker DOES take damage during the combat if the odds in is favour are not very high.
Check page 20 of the manual for details.

HTH... unless I completely misunderstood your question :p
