I am a GNU/Linux user, and since your game is written in Python, I want to ask you, why don't you make GNU/Linux versions of Unity of Command?

The game runs just fine natively under Linux - I develop on Linux in fact. The problem is packaging and dependencies. We are looking into it.

Wonderful. Please, let us know, if you will get off the ground in this area.

This would be awesome. If you ever need beta-testers or whatever, I'd be glad to help! I just bought the game and it has a really great potential. I'd kill for a dynamic campaign. :)

Hey yabo, welcome :)

We just had a rougher-than-expected time with porting to Mac so don't expect anything too soon :?

Running with Wine seems to work just fine OTOH, you might want to try that.

Well, I can understand that. As you were saying you already had a native version of the game up & running I thought it might be easier though. I'd buy the game a second time to support linux gaming! :)
Anyway, it's just extra-kudos, I'm fine with the windows version :)

Thanks.

I can confirm the game works perfect without any issues at all under wine. Don't let the absence of a windows or mac machine deter you from buying the game :)

BTW what technology are you using for the engine? If it's Java, you will run into problems on the Mac in the future (new Macs have been sold without preinstalled Java for about a year now).

Don't worry, we're not using Java at all. ;)

We use a custom built engine based on python, pygame, cairo etc. If you're interested in the engine, feel free to ask, but in the main forum please, not tech support.
