Re: Red Turn DLC - BETA TESTER CALLUP
at this point i think that we need only a white wash winter version of this awesome tanks ......but perhaps is too much......for our happy eyes. Well, since you mentioned it, I was tempted... just to see how it'd look. rt_tanks_winter_2.jpg Note that this is a bit of false advertising. These are no...

Re: Infantry3d icon
Hi morismichael, For the time being we don't plan to introduce any alternative sets of icons. Our production resources are somewhat limited so we need to prioritize them. Since most players were quite happy with the current icon set, we consider it an area that doesn't need further addressing. Howev...

UoC found itself in very interesting company of A titles there. Hopefully, this time we blow Shogun 2 out of the water

Re: what 3d software?
Thanks jin. It's Maya. I'm not big on 3d package fetishism but somehow came to prefer Maya's flexibility. Especially when it comes to setting up atypical production pipelines. That being said, the wireframes in tutorial are not viewport snapshots. They are renders made with MentalRay's contour shade...

Re: No move take back & no saves?
id, just to be sure, you do know that you can re-start the campaign from the beginning of any of the previously played (or current) scenarios? People seem to miss that easily. So in a case you badly screw up a scenario not the whole campaign effort is lost.

Re: Perfection?
It's interesting to note how this game seems to meet many wargamers requirements and needs! It looks like developers listened to players instead of trying to impose their (war)gaming philosophy. Or maybe it is only good timing between players who felt they were left out from the genre and acute dev...
Re: mods
I'm glad you like them. I really can't see any reasons not to. There was a bit of initial grumpiness about the look amongst more grognardy players over at the Matrix forums, but once people started actually playing the game they adapted fairly quickly and in fact begun to like them. Yeah, we're aimi...

Re: Perfection?
And yeah, we considered ambient sounds but the release deadline swept that from the table. Hopefully we'll add something like that in the future releases... eventually.

Of course. At the end, it probably boils down to the production budget

Re: Perfection?
Thanks Astyreal, and welcome to UoC forums!
We were aware the UI is a sore spot for a great deal of wargames out there. So we put a fair amount of effort in to make something that would stand out at least a bit. We feel the players deserve it.
